MY PLACE | MY STORY is an opportunity for teens to create personal short films while learning digital storytelling and basic filmmaking skills. Supervised and assisted by experienced media makers, students write and record personal video narratives about their own lives and experiences and the things they are most inspired by or care about.

The finished films are presented on the big screen at the Smith Rafael Film Center one month after the workshop for an audience of family, friends and supporters, with a Q&A and reception to follow.

The program is FREE and includes lunch for all five days of the workshop plus reimbursement of transportation costs to the workshop site, if needed.

Please share this opportunity with any students in your community who you think would be good candidates for the program. Past participants are also welcome to return for a second session. We appreciate your referrals!
