The National AIDS Memorial Grove is pleased to announce that its 2016 Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship (“Scholarship”) is now open for applications. The Scholarship is open to all current high school seniors, and college freshman, sophomores and juniors (ages 27 and younger) who demonstrate an active commitment to fighting AIDS and taking on roles of public service and leadership (e.g. providing peer-based prevention and education; engaging in advocacy or grass-roots activism; raising public awareness; and/or delivering practical, emotional or treatment support to people living with HIV/AIDS), and who plan to continue to find ways to make a difference in the epidemic through their careers or through public service opportunities after their education is complete. Scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to apply, and/or if you received our Scholarship in the past and would like to re-apply (two scholarships maximum per person), please take the time to review this year’s requirements in the links below. Additionally, please feel free to share this unique scholarship opportunity within your school community by posting the Scholarship information on social media and bulletin boards, or distribute the Scholarship flyer (click here to download) to your schools’ career guidance counselors, fellow students, or any other potentially interested parties.
