Loop Abroad Summer Program

For high school students, there are three programs: High School Veterinary Service, where students work hands-on alongside a veterinarian at a dog shelter and elephant sanctuary; Traveling Teacher, where students teach English in a hilltribe village; and Experience Thailand: Elephants and Everything Else, where students live at an elephant sanctuary for a week and also have a week of culture and outdoor adventure in Thailand.

They are a Certifying Organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and all their programs award 40-80 service hours. In particular the Veterinary program is a huge asset to students who plan on a veterinary career, and definitely would appeal to those looking for an “animal enrichment” program.
