Red Cross Summer Programs

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Our annual Leadership Development Center (LDC) is a four-day overnight conference designed to build strong leaders and positive relationships among Red Cross Youth.  Students attending LDC will participate in workshops and sessions on various topics including safety, preparedness, diversity, public speaking, leadership, international relations and humanitarianism.  There will also be games, guest speakers, and fun activities; all structured to help youth recognize their leadership potential.  This opportunity is available to all youth entering grades 9-12.  Deadline is May 2nd, 2014!

PROFESSIONAL SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

Gain valuable leadership and professional skills with the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter!  Our interns are valuable team members who help promote the mission of the American Red Cross serving 8 week terms.  Build your career skills in areas such as communications, international services, event planning, and the nonprofit sector.  The deadline to apply is May 7th, 2014!

CHAPMAN-HOLCOMBE INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS

The Chapman-Holcombe International Internship Program brings a select few youth from Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies all over the world to the Bay Area for several weeks to learn what the American Red Cross does and for a cultural exchange.  To volunteer and assist in the program, please email Robbie Herrera at Robbie.Herrera@redcross.org or Lawrence Leung at Lawrence.Leung@redcross.org.
