Hillcrest ASP is one of the largest after-school programs in San Francisco, serving over 200 students and employing around 25 staff and interns. We focus on providing academic alignment, creative enrichment opportunities, and recreation for our students within our four-hour program. One of the recreation opportunities we are offering for our students is a Girls on the Run team, where girls are given a chance to work with older coaches/mentors on building healthy relationships and self-care, all while training to run a 5k!
They are currently looking for volunteer coaches for this Spring season! Commitments include:
- Leading practice (with the assistance of a head coach) twice a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-6:00PM at Hillcrest Elementary School
- Participating in a 5k run in May with all the girls
- Bonding with and mentoring 15-20 girls aged 7-10 (3rd-5th grade)
