Stanford Women in Business empowers young women to become successful leaders in the world of business. Through SWIB, members find their career direction, develop their professional networks, and set and achieve ambitious career goals. We do this by engaging with our members around three pillars: education, community, & networking. These form the basis of our events throughout the year, which include skill development workshops, leadership conferences, career exposes, mentorship programs, speaker series, and more.
SWIB’s annual Young Women’s Leadership Summit will be held at Stanford’s Tresidder Oak Lounge on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. The Summit is a free event geared specifically toward freshman and sophomore female-identifying high school students to provide them a broader sense of the business world. Students will have the opportunity to learn from inspiring speakers Sarah Dubbeldam, editor, founder, and author of Darling Magazine, Gina Bianchini, CEO of Mighty Networks and CEO of Ning, and hear from various Stanford student entrepreneurs. As students network throughout the program, they will have the opportunity to engage in workshops centered around a specific business-related area of interest, such as finance, marketing, or philanthropy.
