• Innovative Grants – Up to $5k Per Project: Do you have an idea for a social justice project that you’d like to get off the ground? Is there an issue that is affecting your community that you would like to do something about? Are you passionate about social justice and need funding to start or join a movement? The YFYI Innovative Grant Fund offers seed money, workshops and resources to youth with great ideas for social justice projects. Here are the minimum qualifications:
  1. You must be between the ages of 13-17 to apply
  2. You must live or attend school in San Francisco
  3. Your project must primarily serve San Franciscans
  4. Your project must focus on addressing a social justice issue (poverty, food justice, health, incarceration, trauma, self-care, violence, environmental justice, LGBTQQI justice, education equity, undocumented human rights, research justice, housing, etc.)
  5. You must have a fiscal sponsor (a non-profit organization or school) that is willing to work with you
  6. Be creative!
