Each year more than 1,600 Bay Area youth actively encounter wildlife, tide pools, native plants and star-filled skies during day or overnight trips at three hostel locations: HI-Marin Headlands, HI-Point Reyes and HI-Point Montara Lighthouse. The hostels are located in coastal settings that provide diverse habitats for hands-on learning and discovery. Participating in the Outdoor Hostel Adventure program will give you an appreciation and respect for nature, an understanding of basic principles of ecology and human impact on the environment, and a sense of place that fosters stewardship and ecological responsibility.
High school students are invited to apply for a half-day, full-day, or overnight program. Robust scholarship opportunities are available. Visit Outdoor Hostel Adventure’s website for more information.
