Congresswoman Jackie Speier invites your students and their parents to attend Young Women CAN!, an event designed to empower young women to be future leaders and innovators and build confidence to achieve their educational goals and financial independence. This event will be held on the Facebook campus, building 15, in Menlo Park on Saturday, March 1st from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Congresswoman Speier will speak about her personal journey and the Women’s Economic Agenda with special guest, Dr. Nathalie Batalha, NASA Astronomer. The event will include inspiring workshops by women working in STEM professions, coaching on Empowering Communication skills, and a class on practical money management skills.
This event is FREE and would be a great opportunity for your students to be inspired by female leaders in the community, gain more exposure to the world of science and technology, and unlock their confidence.
