Bringing good ideas from California to the world, the Westly Foundation supports entrepreneurial leaders whose courage and innovation improve the lives of people and the world around us. In 2013, we will award up to four $20,000 prizes to young innovators in California with creative solutions to community problems. Because we think it’s important to recognize and encourage social entrepreneurship by innovators of all ages, two of the prizes typically are given to current high school students. Two additional prizes typically are awarded to university students or professionals under the age of 28. We often award smaller honorable mention prizes.
