The Galaxy Explorers is a year-round program for high school students who represent the Chabot Space & Science Center on-site and throughout the greater Oakland area. Galaxy Explorers perform live public science demonstrations, explain interactive exhibits, deliver mini science workshops, outreach to community centers and work in our ever-so-popular summer camps. Variety is the key to keeping our teens engaged. For the overachiever there are special interest clubs and teams, which deliver additional public programs on astronomy, environmental science and multi-media. In short, there’s something for everyone year-round.
Deadline: Applications are accepted year around, but enrollment only occurs four times a year. To apply, complete and return only pages i-iv of the application and the emergency forms. If accepted, you will receive an invitation via email to attend the introductory training.
