Family House is seeking motivated High School students who are looking to make a difference in the lives of families with a child receiving treatment at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. If you are a high school student looking for a summer volunteer opportunity, our 6-week Family House Summer Volunteer Program might be a perfect match for you!
Are you interested in working with families and children, non-profit management, hospitality, event planning, and marketing? Volunteering at Family House is a great way to make a difference in your community, discover a new interest, make new friends, and have fun! Each week students will participate in activities which may include; engaging with families, collaborating with peers and Family House staff, assisting with administrative & event support, and facilitating daily tasks including large scale projects. Location: Family House: 540 Mission Bay Blvd., North, San Francisco 94158
Orientation Date (required): Monday, June 10th or Wednesday June 12th from 5:00-6:30pm (approx. 1.5 hours).
Parents or guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend the orientation. Limited parking is available on a first come first served basis.
Volunteer Program Hours: Wednesdays, 3:30pm-6:30pm. Sessions will take place June 19th, June 26th, July 10th, July 17th, and July 24th.
The program concludes with a special volunteer day on Tuesday, July 30th, from 12pm–2:30pm – the annual Family
House End of Summer Carnival and BBQ.
Holidays: There will be no session the week of July 4th, 2019.
Deadline: Volunteer registration will close Friday, May 31st, 2019 (or as soon as all 15 spots are filled).
