Volunteer Oppotunity: SF Zoo Jungle Jog, May 6

What is Jungle Jog?

We are excited to announce our new event this year, Jungle Jog at the San Francisco Zoo and Gardens. Jungle Jog is a 5K “fun run” that will take runners past 2,000 exotic, endangered and rescued animals, meandering through the 100 acres of majestic and peaceful gardens located directly on the Pacific Coast. There will also be a shorter “Kid’s Dash” designed for young children (8 and under).

What are the volunteer opportunities?

A critical factor to ensuring the success of our event is having a committed group volunteers leading up to, and on the day of the event.

Pre-event Volunteer opportunities:

  • Poster/postcard distribution
  • Runner’s package coordination

Day-of Volunteer opportunities:

  • Greeters/parking &traffic coordinators
  • Runner registration / check-in
  • Course setup and breakdown
  • Course marshals
  • Aid stations

There are ample volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. To register, or for more information, please visit the Jungle Jog event website, or contact Art Svidler directly atasvidler@gmail.com.
