Contemporary Jewish Museum Teen Exhibition: What We Hold Youth Voices on Roots and What Matters Most

Opening Reception
Sunday, Mar 25
3–5pm

Join us for the opening of the exhibition What We Hold: Youth Voices on Roots and What Matters Most. Free with Museum admission; youth 18 and under always free.

The teen years are instrumental in the creation of self. What shapes us? What family stories become our core stories? What pieces of ourselves are formed and reformed from our heritage? What We Hold: Youth Voices on Roots and What Matters Most features individual audio segments from seventy-five teens, each reflecting on the people, moments, and voices that have imprinted on their identities. These compelling recordings offer a rare window into personal reflections of youth today.

What We Hold is the fifth, and largest, in a series of Contemporary Jewish Museum installations highlighting youth voices. These compelling recordings offer both a rare window into youth perspectives today and a place for youth to shine and share their voice.
