The Miss Unlimited Foundation was founded on the principle of empowering the true beauty and unlimited potential of girls with special needs. The event provides the opportunity for these young girls to be celebrated for all they are inside, and not just defined by what the world sees on the outside. The event was founded 3 years ago by Ms. Michelle Wynn, a chemistry teacher at St. Ignatius College Prep., and her sophomore chemistry class.
Miss Unlimited also strives to create community between high school students in the Bay area. Traditionally, the high school volunteers have come from St. Ignatius College Prep. and Sacred Heart Cathedral. However, as Miss Unlimited evolves, we want to create a more diverse volunteer core from different high schools. Therefore, Miss Unlimited would love to make a presentation at a meeting after school or be part of the volunteer fair at University High School. This year the day of celebration will be held on May 12th at Sacred Heart’s theater.
