Nueva MUN is a Model United Nations conference for students, run by students. This is the second time that we have hosted it, and we’re really excited for this year’s conference! The conference will take place on March 11th and 12th from 9am to 5pm at the Bay Meadows campus (131 E 28th Avenue, San Mateo).
Model United Nations is a great way for students to learn about diplomacy, public speaking and problem solving. This year, we will be challenging students with some difficult issues that affect our world.
• The Security Council (UNSC) will deliberate about the topic of migrants and refugees.
• The Human Rights Council (UNHRC) will meet about international freedom of speech.
• The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) will discuss the rights of stateless peoples.
