Join KQED and it’s community partners to celebrate Black History Month by highlighting the life of Maya Angelou through spoken word and songs. Enjoy performances by Young Gifted and Black Sheros, The Lorraine Hansbury Dance group and spoken word artists from Youth Speaks as they channel the spirit and legacy of Dr. Angelou’s work. The event will also include a one- hour preview of the American Masters – Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise.
