CJJC is looking for volunteers for our tenants’ rights clinics who can help us keep up with the huge need for our services in the current gentrification crisis. we are looking for interns to support our west and east Oakland clinics, and we have a very high need for bilingual Spanish speakers to work one 3-4 hour weekday shift in our mission office between 9am-5pm.

These are hands-on internships— not behind the scenes, but working directly with tenants actively resisting displacement— and could be perfect for service learning or other credit kinds of programs too, or just for social-justice-minded students who want to get involved in community work, and to learn about our service/organizing hybrid model.
