Ben Matranga is running for Supervisor in the neighborhood where he grew up. He is a fifth generation San Franciscan that cut his teeth volunteering on local campaigns. He began his interest in public service early, starting with an internship with the San Francisco Ethics Commission and later served as a commissioner on the San Francisco Youth Commission while at St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Ben spent a decade leading economic development initiatives in Latin America and Africa and most recently served as San Francisco’s first Street Safety Director.

Internship Description:
- Looking for smart, enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in learning more about local politics.
- Involvement in the day-to-day planning and implementation of our volunteer outreach program. Willingness to be flexible and be a team player.
- Compiling field reports and helping to set up field training activities.
- Opportunities to expand your portfolio of responsibility based on performance.
This internship is unpaid. The minimum amount of time required for this internship is 8- 10 hours/week. When possible, we will strive to provide assistance in gaining academic credit.
