Students (grades 8 – 12) and educators from all public and private schools throughout California are invited to gain a deeper understanding about the Holocaust and patterns of genocide in order to inspire moral courage and social responsibility in the future.
This year’s Day of Learning will focus on children who became refugees as a result of the Holocaust and how their experiences are echoed by millions of children around the world today.
Attendees will also see a live theatrical performance of The Pianist of Willesden Lane, from acclaimed concert pianist and author Mona Golabek, which tells the true story of her mother as a young refugee during World War II.
Registration required by March 11.
The Day of Learning is a free program and lunch is provided.
