The Imagine Bus Project, a San Francisco-based non-profit bringing art to incarcerated youth in the Bay Area wants your help. They are currently working on a fundraising event to raise funds for the program. The event, which takes place at SOMArts on December 11, will feature the work of a wide variety of international artists who have donated art.
In order to give people a powerful sense of what it is like to be in the juvenile justice system, they want to create a life sized model of the cells that kids are housed in at the San Francisco Juvenile Hall. It will be a very powerful experience for teenagers to take part in the building of this instillation. The event is exactly a month away, so they need to move forward as quickly as possible.
