Summer Art Apprenticeship

MOCHA is seeking High School students for volunteer positions as Art Apprentices. We are looking for responsible teens with an interest in art and working with youth.This is a great opportunity to gain experience with the visual arts and interacting with children.

All interested teens must submit an application by May 31st and commit to working a minimum of two camp weeks (not necessarily consecutive weeks). There are two camp shifts available: 8:00am – 1:00pm (morning) or 12:00 – 5:30pm (afternoon). In addition, there is a $25 registration fee and applicants must complete the Apprentice Training held June 7th.


– Assisting Teaching Artists in the studio and preparing projects
– Helping young campers complete projects
– Providing additional supervision during breaks
– Leading pre-care and after-care projects and free play time
– Chaperoning Wednesday field trips
– Assisting with clean-up after projects and at the end of the day
