Technovation is the global technology entrepreneurship course for middle school, high school, and university age female students. We match teams of up to 5 girls with a female mentor from the tech industry to complete a 12-week program in which they learn to research, design, code, and pitch a mobile app to real investors. So far, over 1,000 girls in the United States have already taken part, about half of whom are from the Bay Area. The program is also offered completely free of charge in order to reduce barriers to participation.
