The American Youth Leadership Program with Peru 2014 (travel in Peru) brings together 18 youth and 3 educators from diverse backgrounds for a unique cross-cultural opportunity. Participants explore the country and culture of Peru, visit local NGOs, participate in homestays and delve into issues of food security and nutrition both at home and abroad.

The Youth Ambassadors Program with Haiti 2014 (San Francisco Bay Area/Washington DC) is an inbound exchange program that joins 16 Haitian high school students and 2 educators with 8 Bay-Area students and 1 educator to study civic education, community service and leadership development. Over the course of three weeks, the group will participate in site visits, activities and curriculum focused on the environment and social entrepreneurship in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington D.C.
Applicants to this program must live in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to attend activities in Berkeley each day.
This program is administered by World Savvy and sponsored by World Savvy and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State.
