Created to deepen and shift the framing of racial disparities in the United States, Dr. Shakti Butler’s latest acclaimed film, Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity, calls us to engage in reflection and dialogue about the causes and consequences of systemic inequity, in hopes of sparking change. Dr. Butler’s film effectively uses history, data, and storytelling to shed light on a topic that should be at the core of 21st century learning. Featuring Joy DeGruy, Tim Wise, Michael Benitez, Jr., Peggy McIntosh, and many more.

Dr. Butler is an internationally renowned activist, scholar, filmmaker, and president of World Trust. Director ofThe Way Home and Mirriors of Privilege, she has presented on campuses from Stanford and Cal to Notre Dame and Boston University; trained corporate and government agencies ranging from the US Postal Service to Kellog Corporation; and has been featured on CBS, NPR, KPFA, and in the Huffington Post.
