We Are All Poets

“The state of the world calls out for poetry to save it.”
Lawrence Ferlinghetti, San Francisco’s first Poet Laureate.

Poetry offers powerful leadership through imagination; we are all poets in our hearts and minds. “We Are All Poets” unites middle and high school students with public officials through poetry, envisioning a shared positive future.

Come join fun, hands-on writing workshops, poetry performance training, related art exhibits, and a lively finale of poetry and music with San Francisco’s diverse young poets, government and civic leaders, and surprise stars of the cultural and literary arts.

GRAND FINALE: Saturday, October 26, 2013, 1-3pm
San Francisco Main Public Library’s Koret Auditorium.
