Interns will work on a variety of tasks related to understanding how nonprofits do their work, and how their work makes a difference in the world. For example, do afterschool programs for teen girls make a difference in how involved they are in their communities? Does a program that encourages Vietnamese elders to share their personal stories help strengthen cultural pride? How can we measure and document positive outcomes from programs that intend to do good in the world? Interns will use and learn a variety of skills, from using a video camera to editing footage to developing good questions to ask people in interviews and on surveys. Spend your summer learning how to become a social science researcher!
